General
- There are 4 disabled parking spaces available outside Glenridding pier house
- Carer travels for free on a one-to-one basis. Please book standard tickets through our website and when you visit bring proof of PIP or DLA and we will refund the carers ticket.
- Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the attraction for free
- Please call us in advance of your visit if you require wheelchair access.
Level Access
- Lady Wakefield has a toilet facility on the upper deck.
- Our other boats toilet facilities are located on the lower decks via steps. Wheelchair access is not possible to the lower decks.
- Wheelchair-accessible toilets are available at Glenridding and Pooley Bridge pier houses
- We advise passengers requiring wheelchair access to contact Ullswater ‘Steamers’ in advance to check boat suitability and lake levels due to access limitations via the gangplanks.
- Due to the heritage nature of our vessels and the waterside location, we regret that our attraction is not suitable for motorised wheelchairs or mobility scooters. We have wheelchairs available for use and can reserve these for visitors.

- All of our boats have audio commentary to help describe the views from on board
- Our boats all have safety railings around every outdoor deck
